16th April 2021 - Frost on the ground
There is frost on the ground and a snap in the air. But running to the pond warms me enough to make the swim appealing rather than daunting.
I imagine the water hissing as I duck my head and feel it chill my run-reddened face. About to be land-locked for two days, I savour it all the more.
The sun and the sky and the branches of trees newly decked with leaves are exuberant.
I run home as if on springs.
