The all day zoom training finishes at 5:00pm. By 5:05 I am on my bicycle, cycling to the pond. It is a perfect, golden evening. The air is cool and blue.

I swim for 20 minutes. The first lap feels cold, cooler than the sea, but after that it is comfortable. I can feel my hands and feet the whole time, and imagine the blood running through them, keeping them warm.

My mind runs over the day and worries settle. I am reminded of wisdom from an advert that I saw years ago “what you think is a problem going in, is not a problem anymore” :
